Hillary Hub - Hillary’s Drudge Report?
With HillaryHub, the campaign is moving into an area typically occupied by old news organizations and their new media rivals, like Drudge, and it’s competing on equal terms for the attention of voters. Though the site is in its infancy, its goals are ambitious — and it is a model other campaigns could follow.
"In an ideal world, every single one of our supporters would wake up in the morning and go to HillaryHub to find out what the latest news on Hillary is," says its creator, Clinton adviser Howard Wolfson.
It’s the beginning of a trend experts in political media expect to accelerate. Political campaigns are learning from corporate America and big-time sports, which increasingly produce and control their own news and entertainment. They’re using the Internet to compete with the independent media that President Bush famously labeled "the filter."
