Hillary Clinton tells Pentagon brass to get ready to pull out of Iraq…

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday urged the Pentagon to plan quickly for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, yet she refused to say how she would vote on a war spending bill.

"We’ve been hearing that there is either no or very limited planning for withdrawal. Withdrawal is very complicated. If they’re not planning for it, it will be difficult to execute it in a safe and efficacious way," the Democratic presidential candidate said.

While pushing for quick action on contingency plans, the New York lawmaker was not ready to take a public position on a war spending bill due for a vote as early as Thursday.

"When I have something to say, I will say it," Clinton said. In recent statement, she has left unclear her position on when the bulk of U.S. troops should leave Iraq.

She asked military officials in a private meeting and a public letter to explain how they would bring forces home.

Clinton met privately with Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Peter Pace late Tuesday and wrote Defense Secretary Robert Gates urging military leaders to begin such planning if they have not already.

Hillary Clinton may skip Iowa - to avoid a 3rd place finish?

UPDATE: looks like she WILL attend Iowa

It wouldn’t surprise me to see Hillary Clinton just skip Iowa and have her media whores proclaim that Iowa isn’t important. She will just skip it to avoid the apperence of Queen Hillary coming in 3rd place. Appearance is everything and the appearance that she can’t win a state like Iowa might just be deathly to her Presidential hopes. Why not just skip it and convince everyone it’s just not an important state to win in the primaries.

Hillary Rodham Clinton’s deputy campaign manager wrote a memo this week urging the Democratic front-runner to bypass the Iowa caucuses, in order to spend time and resources in New Hampshire, South Carolina and several larger states hosting primaries next Feb. 5.

The memo emerged days after a new Des Moines Sunday Register poll of likely caucus goers showed Clinton trailing rivals John Edwards and Barack Obama in Iowa, which is scheduled to hold the first voting contests next January 14.

"I believe we need a new approach to winning the Democratic nomination," deputy campaign manager Mike Henry wrote. "This approach involves shifting the focus away from Iowa and running a campaign that is more focused on other early primary states and winning this new national primary."

There was no indication Wednesday that Henry’s advice would be heeded. Campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson said both the candidate and her top advisers are committed to campaigning in Iowa and that Henry’s views were not shared by others in the campaign.

Hillary Clinton gets left behind on a Road Trip!

People just don’t like Hillary Clinton

Rand McNally’s 2007 Great American Road Trip Survey, which polled 4,000 adults nationwide about their summer road trip outlook, favorite road trip destinations, what goes on in the car during the drive and which celebrities they most would like to have in the passenger seat.

Drivers overall selected Rudy Giuliani as the presidential candidate with whom they’d most like to take a road trip. Although Hillary Clinton tied Barack Obama for most desirable road trip companion among Democrat respondents, Clinton’s intense unpopularity with Republicans (80 percent voted to leave her behind) and Independents (52 percent voted not to take her) made her top the list of least desirable companions.

Hillary Clinton’s Greatest Hits - Things you should know before 2008

Shamefully lifted from The Hillary Project - you should visit them daily

SUSAN SCHMIDT, WASH POST, 1998- Independent counsel Kenneth W. Starr yesterday secured a new federal indictment of Webster L. Hubbell, alleging that the former top Justice Department official lied to Congress and federal banking regulators to conceal work that he, Hillary Rodham Clinton and their law firm did in the mid-1980s for a rogue savings and loan.

The 15-count indictment alleges that Hubbell covered up the Rose Law Firm’s involvement in a phony multimillion-dollar land deal that caused losses big enough to bankrupt Madison Guaranty S&L, the thrift owned by the late James B. McDougal, the Clintons’ Whitewater business partner. Hillary Clinton’s legal work for Madison in the mid-1980s is referred to throughout the indictment but she is accused of no wrongdoing. . .

Hubbell pleaded guilty in 1994 to charges lodged by the independent counsel that he bilked Rose Law Firm clients and partners. . .

The independent counsel lodged no Whitewater charges in his impeachment report to Congress on President Clinton and closed down his Arkansas office months ago without bringing charges against Hillary Clinton. The Hubbell indictment was issued by a grand jury here. . .

While Hillary Clinton’s name is not mentioned in the indictment, her actions are described, albeit obliquely. She is mentioned some 35 times throughout the indictment, but only as Rose’s "1985-86 billing partner" for the Madison account. The document describes some of her work on Madison’s ill-fated Castle Grande project, an 1,100-acre industrial and trailer park development south of Little Rock.

Some of the loans that the accountants were blamed for allowing Madison to make were Castle Grande transactions that Hillary Clinton and Hubbell worked on for his father-in-law, Seth Ward. The indictment charges that Hubbell falsely told regulators and Congress he did no work on Castle Grande matters and was not aware of what work Rose did for Madison.

The indictment contends that Hillary Clinton prepared a real estate option agreement used by Madison officials to deceive federal regulators about hundreds of thousands of dollars in bogus real estate commissions that were being paid to Ward. While charging there was a scheme to hide the commissions and the tottering condition of the thrift, the indictment makes no allegation that Hillary Clinton knew anything about it. . .

Starr also has been investigating payments of more than $700,000 in consulting fees to Hubbell from Clinton allies and Democratic Party supporters after he left the Justice Department in the spring of 1994 amid allegations he defrauded his former firm and clients.

LYING FOR HILLARY

One of the issues that came up in a lengthy suit (American Physicians and Surgeons, Inc, et al. v. Hillary Rodham Clinton, et al.) was whether White House aide Ira Magaziner, speaking on behalf of Hillary Clinton’s health task force, told the truth when he claimed that only federal employees were members of the group. This was found to be false and Judge Royce Lamberth issued an opinion, part of which follows:

"[I]t is clear that the decisions here were made at the highest levels of government, and that the government itself is–and should be–accountable when its officials run amok. . . The court agrees with plaintiffs that these were not reckless and inept errors taken by bewildered counsel. The Executive Branch of the government, working in tandem, was dishonest with this court. . . .

Hillary Clinton’s Achilles Heel?

Liberals are like children watching a magic show. The magician pulls a quarter from behind the child’s ear and the child is mystified. The magician rubs his hands together and the quarter disappears  into thin air. When it comes to the missing WMD’s in Iraq the Democrats are like those children thinking that the weapons were never really there, even though their hero Bill Clinton said they were there.

They are also shocked that people believe Hussein had anything to do with 9-11. Believe me, if a Democrat was conducting a war against Iraq,  the media would have continued the relationship between Bin Laden and Hussein. Don’t believe me? Listen to what ABC was reporting when Bill Clinton had to deal with Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein.

Magically, when a Republican is dealing with Iraq, that relationship between Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein is "just not there".

The same media that is attacking Bush about No WMD’s just can’t seem to report that the Democrats were using much stronger language about WMD’s before the War.

Never mind that President Bush gave Hussein EVERY OPPORTUNITY to allow weapons inspectors in to see what they were or were not hiding. Saddam knew we were not kidding, he saw how we were amassing troops and vehicles on his boarders, he could of let them in at any time to see he had not WMD’s.

I’m not sure what is going on in the Bush White House, leading up to the war I was seeing reports on Iraq’s Terrorist Training Camp in Salman Pak. Now, no one is talking about this training camp… Why?
Why was their a airplane fuselage in the desert of Iraq?

I’m convinced among many others that the WMD’s were shuttled out of Iraq and into Syria with the Russians help.
In fact here is a photo (from a satellite) that has captured a very interesting scene.
Why are all of these transport trucks moving into Syria right before the war?

What most experts are not saying is that the Russians most likely helped the Iraqi’s remove their WMD’s into Syria. And because we don’t want to have to deal with the Russians on this, at this time, the Bush Administration is playing along with the no WMD’s line. Democrat Politicians know of these weapons being shuttled out of Iraq as well - but have chosen to play politics with this issue and beat the President over the head with it.

Is it really in our best interest to "shake the hornets nest" with Russia, even though we know that helped with the removal of WMD’s?

They want you to believe Bush was lying to the American Public - but if he was, why wouldn’t he take that lie a step farther and plant WMD’s in the desert for a photo op?

Liberal websites like this one below, are attacking Hillary Clinton about her war stance - funny thing is, the Democrats are in bed with the media who are attacking Bush on the WMD issue, and this has harmed Hillary in the eyes of Liberals who can’t comprehend that the WMD’s were moved out of Iraq and that they were there before the war started. I think it’s humorous that the Clinton helped create the "Frankenstein" called the Anti-War Left and now she is having to steer far left to stop the "monster" from destroying her hopes of being elected.

Senator Clinton is sure trying hard to court the antiwar vote while still sustaining a muscular U.S. foreign policy agenda as she runs for the presidency. On May 16, Hillary Clinton sided with 28 other senators in support for advancing legislation to cut off funding for the war in Iraq after March of 2008.

Despite her modest anti-war gesture, Clinton was still not willing to predict how she would side on similar legislation in the future. "I’m not going to speculate on what I’m going to be voting on in the future," Clinton told reporters shortly after the vote. "I voted in favor of cloture to have a debate."

Hours later Clinton changed her mind, and decided that she wanted to do more than start a debate on the matter. "I support the underlying bill," she said. "That’s what this vote on cloture was all about."

Even though the race for the White House is still in its infancy, Hillary Clinton has yet to take a coherent position on the Iraq war. The senator from New York has continually blamed President Bush for putting forward faulty information about Iraq’s WMD programs, as well as Saddam’s alleged ties to al Qaeda while he was in power. Clinton, like the rest of us, was lied to, and as a result she naively voted to give Bush the authority to invade Iraq to destroy Saddam’s regime.

But Clinton’s maneuvers to evade responsibility four years after the fact are meager, not to mention completely without merit. In fact Clinton sold the same lies and deceptions as the Bush cartel, which plunged us into this catastrophic war.

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program," Clinton said in October of 2002. "He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members … It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."

Perhaps Hillary was taking a line from her husband Bill’s repertoire, who as president bolstered the same case for disarming Hussein. "If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear," said President Clinton in February of 1998. "We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction program."

I’m Tired: Hillary Clinton and the War

Two weeks ago, as I was starting my sixth month of duty in Iraq, I was forced to return to the USA for surgery for an injury I sustained prior to my deployment. With luck, I’ll return to Iraq to finish my tour. I left Baghdad and a war that has every indication that we are winning, to return to a demoralized country much like the one I returned to in 1971 after my tour in Vietnam. Maybe it’s because I’ll turn 60 years old in just four months, but I’m tired:

I’m tired of spineless politicians, both Democrat and Republican who lack the courage, fortitude, and character to see these difficult tasks through.

I’m tired of the hypocrisy of politicians who want to rewrite history when the going gets tough.

I’m tired of the disingenuous clamor from those that claim they ‘Support the Troops’ by wanting them to ‘Cut and Run’ before victory is achieved.

I’m tired of a mainstream media that can only focus on car bombs and casualty reports because they are too afraid to leave the safety of their hotels to report on the courage and success our brave men and women are having on the battlefield.

I’m tired that so many Americans think you can rebuild a dictatorship into a democracy over night.

I’m tired that so many ignore the bravery of the Iraqi people to go to the voting booth and freely elect a Constitution and soon a permanent Parliament.

I’m tired of the so called ‘Elite Left’ that prolongs this war by giving aid and comfort to our enemy, just as they did during the Vietnam War.

I’m tired of antiwar protesters showing up at the funerals of our fallen soldiers. A family who’s loved ones gave their life in a just and noble cause, only to be cruelly tormented on the funeral day by cowardly protesters is beyond shameful.

I’m tired that my generation, the Baby Boom — Vietnam generation, who have such a weak backbone that they can’t stomach seeing the difficult tasks through to victory.

I’m tired that some are more concerned about the treatment of captives than they are the slaughter and beheading of our citizens and allies.

I’m tired that when we find mass graves it is seldom reported by the press, but mistreat a prisoner and it is front page news.

Mostly, I’m tired that the people of this great nation didn’t learn from history that there is no substitute for Victory.

Sincerely, Joe Repya,
Lieutenant Colonel,
U. S. Army 101st Airborne Division

D.C. Madam supports Hillary Clinton

First, we learned that adult movie star Jenna Jameson supports Sen. Hillary Clinton’s run for president of the United States.

Now, we learn that another, um, Taboo Titleholder backs the New York senator’s White House ambitions: Deborah Jeane Palfrey, aka, the “D.C. Madam.”

Yeas & Nays tracked down Palfrey following her appearance at Nathans of Georgetown’s “Q&A Cafe” Tuesday (where she told Nathans owner Carol Joynt that she’s a “conservative Democrat”) and inquired into the politics of this former escort service owner.

Palfrey admitted that she’s pulling for Hillary in 2008. “I think she’s great,” she said. “She’s bright and articulate.”

But she doesn’t have similar feelings for the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, however.

“I hate him,” Palfrey said. “He only got there because of his father.”

Palfrey’s attorney, Montgomery Blair Sibley, walking alongside her, interjected with a joke, “There goes your pardon!”

This has got to be the funniest line in the whole article: “He only got there because of his father.”

Does anyone think we would have EVER heard of Hillary Rodham if she didn’t happen to be married to Bill "Slick Willy" Clinton?

Hillary Clinton is not photogenic!

From Maria Pia’s Blog:

A few weeks ago, i almost wrote a post to condemn my colleagues photographers who keep publishing very unflattering pictures of Hillary Clinton. As if they have an agenda. In comparison, Barack Obama alway comes out as a perfect, classy, handsome, and well, sexy, man. After a couple of days spent in South Carolina to cover the democratic campaign, i can only admit that Ms Clinton is not photogenic.

As hard as i tried, i couldn’t come up with a better picture.

Hillary Clinton: Give me your 4 year old’s.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is ready to propose a new federal plan that would offer high-quality preschool to every 4-year-old in America.

The Democratic presidential candidate says the universal Pre-K plan would cost about ten billion dollars. Speaking on NBC’s "Today Show," she said evidence shows such preschool programs save money in the long run — and that students have fewer behavioral problems and stay in school longer.

The New York senator says she’d pay for universal preschool by closing tax loopholes and eliminating Bush administration programs she disagrees with. The proposal would give federal funds to states that establish a plan for making voluntary pre-kindergarten services available for all.

She’s presenting the proposal today at a Miami Beach elementary school.
