Hillary Clinton: GOP Immigration Bill Would ‘Criminalize Jesus’

2008 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is blasting a GOP-backed immigration bill, claiming bizarrely that the legislation would "literally criminalize . . . . probably even Jesus himself."

Clinton invoked the biblical theme on Wednesday while restating her opposition to a bill sponsored by Rep. James Sensenbrenner that would make illegally entering the U.S. a felony.

Surrounded by what the Associated Press described as "a multicultural coalition of New York immigration advocates," the former first lady ripped the GOP bill as "mean-spirited" - insisting that it flew in the face of Republicans’ stated support for faith and values.

"It is certainly not in keeping with my understanding of the Scriptures," she declared, before adding: "This bill would literally criminalize the Good Samaritan and probably even Jesus himself."

Hillary Clinton Disenfranchises Bill Clinton’s First Amendment Rights

Former President Clinton’s First Amendment rights had an unlikely champion yesterday — Republican Senate candidate John Spencer.

Spencer, reacting to a published report that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has veto power over what her husband can say in public, issued a tongue-in-cheek statement urging that Bill Clinton be allowed to speak freely.

"It is a shame that President Clinton is losing his First Amendment rights," said Spencer, the former mayor of Yonkers. "We think this is a big mistake. How else would we have known that President Clinton was working behind the scenes to support the Dubai port deal while Sen. Clinton was trying to block it?"

Spencer said the senator should "stop censoring her husband."

Her Holiness… Hillary invokes Religion into immigration

Invoking Biblical themes, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton joined immigration advocates Wednesday to vow and block legislation seeking to criminalize undocumented immigrants.

Clinton, a potential 2008 presidential candidate and relative latecomer to the immigration debate, made her remarks as the Senate prepares to take up the matter next week.

Clinton renewed her pledge to oppose a bill passed in December by the House that would make unlawful presence in the United States _ currently a civil offense _ a felony. The Senate is set to consider a version of that legislation, as well as several other bills seeking to address the seemingly intractable issue of immigration reform.

Surrounded by a multicultural coalition of New York immigration advocates, Clinton blasted the House bill as "mean-spirited" and said it flew in the face of Republicans’ stated support for faith and values.

"It is certainly not in keeping with my understanding of the Scriptures," Clinton said, "because this bill would literally criminalize the Good Samaritan and probably even Jesus himself."

Right!! Now the story is the Hillary has not Muzzled Impeached Husband

Hillary Clinton: I’m Not Muzzling Bill

2008 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is denying that she’s put her foot down over her husband’s tendency to make pronouncements that contradict her own positions.

"The story is not true," Mrs. Clinton’s spokesman Philippe Reines told Chicago Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the New York Daily News frontpaged the story under the headline: "Zip It: With Eye on 2008, Hill Tells Bill: Say Nothing Without my OK."

The report claimed that "the former president agreed to give his wife a veto to avoid his habit of making controversial headlines that could hurt her chances of returning to the White House."

In response, Reines and Mr. Clinton’s spokesman, Jay Carson, issued a joint statement:

"The anonymous sources [quoted in the News’ report] are anonymous for a reason; they’re wrong. We have two better-placed and more definitive sources: President & Senator Clinton. So we can tell you that this story is not true."

However, not all the News’ sources were anonymous.

Responding to claims that Bill had been ordered to zip his lip, Hillary spokesgal Ann Lewis told the paper, "She is the elected official. She makes the ultimate decisions."

Zogby Poll Reveals: Abortion Tough Issue for Hillary Clinton

Is this information why Hillary is quiet on her positions? Democrats have gone behind close door since the 2004 Election trying to figure out what their positions are going to be. To conservatives this is a little shocking, we KNOW what our beliefs are and what our positions are on subjects that face American’s. Democrats just can’t come out and tell you what their true beliefs are… they just don’t sell well with American’s. That is why the always have to frame subjects by trying to fool you. For instance Abortion is now called "Women’s Health" they know they can’t call it what it is or they will lose.

Federal candidates who make abortion rights an important part of their election platform this year and in 2008 may find themselves swimming against the current of American political thinking, a new Zogby Interactive survey shows. The survey, commissioned by Associated Television News and The O’Leary Report, included 30,117 respondents in the 48 contiguous states, and was conducted from March 10-14, 2006. It carries a margin of error of +/- 0.6 percentage points. The poll included 20 questions on abortion pertaining to activity on the state or federal level. Analysis of the survey included matching the responses against those respondents who said they’d support the two leading candidates for the 2008 presidential contest: Democrat Senator Hillary Clinton
(33%) and Republican Senator John McCain (50%). More analysis was conducted by matching the poll respondents who indicated that they’d support a Democrat
(42%) or a Republican (40%) for Congress in the 2006 election.

Hillary Clinton is out of step with Missourians

It was, Sen. Hillary Clinton’s supporters say, a normal fundraising luncheon.

In 90 minutes Monday at a Country Club Plaza-area home, she took in at least $40,000 for her Senate re-election campaign.

But when you’re a former first lady and potential presidential candidate, nothing is normal.

Clinton did not announce the fundraising event in advance, and on Tuesday, politicians in both parties called that unusual.

Republicans say she tried to hide her visit because she’s too liberal for Missouri.

And some Democrats grumbled about the potential financial loss for statewide candidates, like Senate hopeful Claire McCaskill.

Those critics did not attend the fundraiser at the home of Herb Kohn, a lawyer and adviser to Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes. Those who were there raved about her performance.

“Hillary is a breath of fresh air, which I think we need,” said Democrat Karen Herman. “We need some counterpoint to the Republican administration, not only the executive branch, but also the legislative branch.”

But the Missouri GOP claimed Democrats kept the visit secret on purpose because Clinton is out of step with Missourians.

“It makes perfect sense,” said GOP spokesman Paul Sloca. “The Democrats know and Hillary Clinton knows that she does not represent Missouri values in any way, shape or form. It makes sense for her to sneak in and then zip right out.”

A Big Blue State Says No to Hillary Clinton

One of the bluest of the Blue States in the nation gave Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton(D-NY) some disheartening news today: If the presidential election were held today, Sen. Clinton gets whipped in New Jersey by Republicans Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and "America’s Mayor" Rudy Guiliani, according to a new poll.

Giuliani beats Clinton in New Jersey 53 to 39 percent and McCain beats her by 54 to 39 percent in the newly released Quinnipiac University poll. New Jersey is always considered a state that can be counted on to give its electoral votes to the Democrat presidential candidate.

According to the New York Post, the poll could continue to fuel Democrat Party doubts about Clinton because Democrats have been winning there. In his losing 2004 bid, John Kerry comfortably beat President Bush in New Jersey 53 to 46 percent.

Democratic strategist

Democratic candidates, advised by Democratic strategists, have rolled up impressive losing streaks over the past few decades. Democrats have lost 7 of the last 10 presidential elections. Democrats have lost every Congressional election since 1994. Republicans are the majority party in most governors’ mansions and state legislatures.

Failure has not deterred candidates from pouring money into the bank accounts of Democratic strategists. And every night on the cable news shows, you see Democratic strategists complaining about their lot in life.

Two of the most famous Democratic strategists are James Carville and Paul Begala, who just so happen to have a new book out called "Take It Back: Our Party, Our Country, Our Future." Carville and Begala know that before Democrats can recapture political power, they must regain control of their own party.

Today’s Democratic Party — led by Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid — is not the party of Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman or John Kennedy. It’s not even the party of Bill Clinton.

Party leadership has been hijacked by far left radicals, Hollywood elitists and shadowy billionaires. When you have Cindy Sheehan, Michael Moore and Al Franken drafting the party’s agenda and most of its money comes from socialist George Soros, you’re not in Kansas anymore.

When Al Gore goes to Saudi Arabia to condemn the United States, your party has a problem. When Jimmy Carter embraces brutal dictators like Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez and blames the U.S. for human rights violations, your party has a problem.

When the best the party can do for a presidential nominee is a flip-flopping Massachusetts liberal (John F. Kerry) or the insufferable Hillary Clinton (polls show 40 percent of Americans would never vote for Hillary for president), your party has a problem.

Gore vs. Hillary?

Although Gore consistently outpolled Hillary in the early days of the 2004 campaign, the combination of Hillary’s high profile and his time out of the limelight appear to have taken a toll, as a Marist poll in late February had Hillary up 33% to 17% against Gore.

"The numbers suggest that a case could be made for Mr. Gore in 2008 though it’s a little unclear what he may have in mind," said Marist pollster Lee Miringoff. "Clearly, he is someone to be watched, especially as an alternative to Hillary Clinton."

Another possible wildcard is Bill Clinton’s view on a Gore candidacy. Would the former president endorse his loyal VP, or at least have kind words to say about him?

Mr. Clinton could follow the example of Bush 41, who also had to choose between a loyal VP — in this case Dan Quayle — and a family member during a presidential primary. This will be probably be an instance where Hillary will muzzle her husband just to be on the safe side.

St. Patricks Day Parade is NOT about Gay Marches… It’s about Celebrating a Saint!

Leave it to Hillary’s Gay Community to try to shove their personal lifestyle into every fuction of life.  It’s a Parade about celebrating St. Patrick… A Saint! It’s NOT about your lifestyle!

But the parade was dogged once again by controversy over not giving gays a green light to march under their own banner.

Elected officials and gay-rights advocates unleashed a torrent of criticism on parade chairman John Dunleavy, who recently defended the parade’s refusal by saying it would be akin to letting neo-Nazis join an Israeli parade or the Ku Klux Klan into an African-American event.

"That doesn’t have any place in our dialogue today, and what we ought to be doing is celebrating the Irish-American community," Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) said before joining the march.
