A Big Blue State Says No to Hillary Clinton
One of the bluest of the Blue States in the nation gave Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton(D-NY) some disheartening news today: If the presidential election were held today, Sen. Clinton gets whipped in New Jersey by Republicans Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and "America’s Mayor" Rudy Guiliani, according to a new poll.
Giuliani beats Clinton in New Jersey 53 to 39 percent and McCain beats her by 54 to 39 percent in the newly released Quinnipiac University poll. New Jersey is always considered a state that can be counted on to give its electoral votes to the Democrat presidential candidate.
According to the New York Post, the poll could continue to fuel Democrat Party doubts about Clinton because Democrats have been winning there. In his losing 2004 bid, John Kerry comfortably beat President Bush in New Jersey 53 to 46 percent.
