10th Anniversary of Ron Brown’s Death

On April 3, 1996, Commerce Secretary Ron Brown and 34 others died following the crash of an Air Force plane into a Croatian hillside.

Ten years later, Brown confidante Nolanda Butler Hill wonders why no one is paying any heed to the 10th anniversary of his death. How often is it, she asks, that a U.S. Cabinet member dies on duty in a foreign country, receives a hero’s burial in Arlington National Cemetery, and then is quickly and decisively forgotten.

Hill speculates that it may have something to do with the fact that Ron was black. That may be part of the equation, but as Hill knows, the issue goes much deeper than race. "The reason Ron Brown died," says Hill with conviction, "was because he had no choice but to bring the Clinton presidency down."

A lifelong Democrat, Hill contends that Brown’s memory will remain suppressed as long as Hillary Clinton remains a viable candidate. My experiences with the major media on this issue suggest that she is almost assuredly correct. To a person, black or white, reporters and producers do not want to hear anything about Ron Brown, this despite the fact that his past surely colors the future of his son Michael, now running for mayor in Washington, D.C.

Hill is convinced and always has been that Ron Brown was assassinated.

Did Bubba Boink Babs?

Here we go again!

Christopher Andersen’s unauthorized biography, Barbara: The Way She Is (William Morrow, $25.95, in stores Tuesday), has its share of gossip. But Andersen, a former senior editor at People and author of books about Hillary Clinton, Princess Diana and various Kennedys, also re-creates Streisand’s exhilarating (and not always easy) climb to fame.

"(Streisand) was perhaps the most famous FOB (Friend of Bill), but was President Clinton more than a friend? Hillary banned Babs from the White House, according to Andersen, after Streisand stayed in the Lincoln Bedroom while Hillary was away."

So is this why Hillary and Babs don’t seem to get along? Was Bill Boinking Streisand in the Lincoln Bedroom? It has been reported that Bill had affairs with dozens if not more women. The Clintons have a shame marriage, it is surprising that Hillary banned Barbara considering how much money she could funnel into her own political goals.

Hillary Sucks Up all the Talent

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton won’t say if she’s running for the White House - but she’s already drafted a presidential-size army of campaign staffers that dwarfs John McCain’s outfit and those of everyone else in the field.

Clinton has assembled a Titanic-size troop of 37 staffers and a legion of pricey consultants on the rolls of her HillPAC political-action committee and her Friends of Hillary re-election campaign - operatives that come on top of the three dozen aides in her Senate office.

"I understand New York is a large state, but this is extraordinary. This operation is built for one thing and one thing only: She’s running for president," said a senior Dem operative.

Twenty Clinton campaign staffers are paid by both HillPAC and Friends of Hillary, including her Senate chief of staff, Tamera Luzzatto, according to federal records. Six more campaign staffers are paid exclusively by Friends of Hillary, and another three receive a paycheck just from HillPAC.

In all, Clinton doles out nearly $100,000 a month on staff payroll, and devotes even more to a dozen seasoned consultants who handle media strategy, speechwriting, market research, direct mail and fund-raising. The payoff has been a $17 million war chest - the biggest in the Senate.

I think I’m going to get sick! Stone thinks Hillary is sexy!

ITHINK Hillary Clinton is fantastic. But I think it is too soon for her to run. This may sound odd, but a woman should be past her sexuality when she runs. Hillary still has sexual power and I don’t think people will accept that. It’s too threatening. So says Sharon Stone, a sexual power if ever there was one.

She talks in the new issue of Hollywood Life magazine. Interesting theory. It echoes somewhat the view of another sexual icon, Madonna. Here’s what the Queen of Pop said to Out magazine, a snippet that did not make it to the final print cut of the current cover story: "Hillary should go for it. I don’t think now is necessarily her time, or the Democrats’ time, but she should certainly go for it.

You’ve got to start somewhere, in terms of a woman leading the U.S. In Europe and Asia and elsewhere, women have ruled over millions, it’s not an abstract concept. But in America, men are still afraid. And I don’t think women are too comfortable with the idea of a female in charge. I find that really amazing."

It seems to be a given that Senator Clinton will run for the highest office in the land in 2007-2008. And win or lose, it will be drama to the nth degree. Her enemies are already foaming, fomenting and fuming.

She is so sexy that her husband has had countless affairs on her. She is so sexy her high school yearbook knighted her as the "Ice Queen". She is so sexy that you will NEVER see her in a dress, due to her "Cankles"

Yep, Hillary is just too sexy to become President (barf!!!!)

President Bush sets Hillary straight on being civil.

President Bush took an apparent swipe at Sen. Hillary Clinton yesterday as he called for a civil debate over a controversial immigration reform bill.

The President’s comments came a day after Clinton (D-N.Y.) said GOP immigration reform would make a criminal out of "Jesus himself."

"When we conduct this debate, it must be done in a civil way," Bush said after meeting with business and religious advocates on the issue yesterday.

"It must be done in a way that brings dignity to the process. It must be done in a way that doesn’t pit one group of people against another," he said.

A White House official said the President was well aware of Clinton’s biblical broadside when he spoke, but Team Bush didn’t want to single her out and give her the spotlight.

Hillary Should “Go to Confession”

Hillary ClintonPeter King: Hillary Should ‘Go to Confession’

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., is urging 2008 presidential hopeful, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., to "go to confession" after she claimed that a GOP bill cracking down on illegal immigration would criminalize "probably even Jesus himself."

"These people who are supposed to be speaking for God, saying this [the bill] is a sin, and they should go to confession," King complained to Newsday.

"Talk about hypocrisy," King fumed to New York’s Daily News. "I don’t think Jesus would have defended alien-smuggling gangs. I don’t think Jesus would favor hundreds of immigrants dying in the desert."

"I hope Hillary’s a better senator than a theologian," the Catholic Republican said of the Methodist Democrat. "Stopping alien-smuggling gangs is doing God’s work," he told Newsday.

Mrs. Clinton ignited a firestorm of protest when she interjected religion into the immigration debate on Wednesday - while complaining about a bill sponsored by Rep. James Sensenbrenner that would make illegal entry into the U.S. a felony.

"It is certainly not in keeping with my understanding of the Scriptures," she declared. "This bill would literally criminalize the Good Samaritan and probably even Jesus himself."

But Rep. King said Republicans were getting a bad rap, insisting, "The liberal left-wing Democrats did this, voting to make it a felony."

Sensenbrenner has promised that the felony provision would be dropped, the News explained. But in the meantime, Democrats hope to use the bill to paint Republicans as extremists.

Clinton’s comments seemed to bear out King’s claim that she was playing politics.

"Sensenbrenner and those who stand with him are going to pay a political price," she promised, moments after making her "Jesus" remark.

Hillary Clinton: How can I fool you today!

Susan Estrich on Hillary Clinton

O’Reily shreds Carol Channing Susan Estrich on her book "The Case For Hillary Clinton. This political hack can’t even express why she thinks Hillary would be good for America! Notice how she claims Hillary is against Illegal Immigration and will "prosecute" illegals. This was then… when Hillary felt that the mood of American’s was to crack down on illegal immigration. Today Hillary NEEDS the Hispanic Votes in New York to get re-elected into the Senate so she can immediately start her campaign for President (New Yorkers are suckers if they vote her in!) Remember how Bill Clinton Pardoned the FALN terrorist group in New York to win votes from the Perto Rican’s to vote for Hillary - this is Hillary’s way to gain favor for the heavy Hispanic Voters in New York… Throw a little "Jesus" references into the mix KNOWING that she could get away with it - had a conservative pulled the same thing she would have been all over them! Double Standard???

Hillary’s Pull the "Jesus Card"
NOW Hillary is against cracking down on Illegals! How can I fool them today!

Anyone remember this about Hillary back in 2003?

Hillary Clinton To Right Of National Republican Leadership On Immigration?????

Ignored at the time back in February 2003 Hillary Clinton came out firmly against illegal immigration.

Saying that she is strongly opposed to "illegal immigrants," New York Sen. Hillary Clinton announced Tuesday that she would support a national identification card for U.S. citizens if other measures to keep illegals out of the country failed.

"I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants," Clinton told WABC Radio’s John Gambling. Then, a few moments later, the Democratic Party presidential frontrunner added, "We might have to move towards an ID system even for citizens."

Clinton said she would support a national ID card as part of an overall effort to improve the U.S.’s national security.

"Clearly we have to make some tough decisions as a country," the top Democrat warned. "And one of them ought to be coming up with a much better entry and exit system so that if we’re going to let people in for the work that otherwise would not be done, let’s have a system that keeps track of them."

"People have to stop employing illegal immigrants," she told WABC. "I mean, come up to Westchester, go to Suffolk and Nassau Counties, stand in the street corners in Brooklyn or the Bronx (and) you’re going to see loads of people waiting to get picked up to go do yard work and construction work and domestic work. You know, this is not a problem that the people coming into the country are solely responsible for. They wouldn’t be coming if we didn’t put them to work."

How to deal with Hillary Clinton

Great points here…

Republicans should learn from what has happened to the Democrats over the last five years. Indulging and publicly displaying their hatred of President Bush–which is based more on cultural and personality issues than policies–has been a disaster for the Democrats. Moreover, the reality, in my view, is that Mrs. Clinton is not an especially good politician. This is due in part to the fact that she rubs a great many people the wrong way. That will continue whether the Republicans point out her personality shortcomings or not.

It seems that Democrats are increasingly grasping the fact that Mrs. Clinton would be a weak general election candidate; recent word is that many Democrats are turning to former Virginia Governor Mark Warner as an alternative. This reminds me of when the Democrats fled to John Kerry’s banner en masse after Howard Dean’s Iowa scream. One difference, though, is that 90% of Americans (including me) couldn’t pick Warner out of a lineup.

There has been a lot of turmoil inside the Democratic Party lately. My guess is that the turmoil will only increase as more and more Democrats realize that Hillary is not electable. All the more reason for Republicans to concentrate on her politics, not her personality.

Where are the jobs you promised Hillary? AKA: New Yorkers are suckers!

In keeping with a campaign promise to boost the upstate economy, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton helped win millions of dollars for the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, teamed upstate farmers with downstate restaurants and even enlisted British Prime Minister Tony Blair in her efforts.

But there’s a big part of Clinton’s promise she couldn’t keep.

"Hillary has a serious plan to create 200,000 new jobs upstate," an announcer intoned in one of her 2000 campaign ads.

The latest federal figures, though, show that upstate New York shed another 34,800 jobs in the five years between the former first lady’s arrival in the Senate and January 2006.

(Can anyone say High Taxes?)

That fact leaves Clinton with some explaining to do as she runs for re-election, two years before a possible race for the presidency.

EMail from Queen Hillary Clinton

Note the word "fight" is used five times… Too bad liberals will not join in and help fight terrorism!

Don’t let them change the subject

Dear Friend,

Every day, as Hillary fights for what is right for you and me, her opponents pursue their negative attacks in order to distract voters from the real issues.

We know that Hillary is committed to addressing the real issues that impact the lives of New Yorkers and ordinary Americans across the nation. And since the facts about what is happening are so clear, Republicans will do everything they possibly can to change the subject.

They don’t want to talk about the soaring costs of health care, while Republicans let some big drug companies dictate their over-complicated, over-expensive prescription drug bill.

They don’t want to talk about Republican energy policies that have left us more dependent on imported oil than ever.

They don’t want to talk about their determination to drive to privatize Social Security - even including in this year’s Bush budget.

And they don’t want to talk about how they could have doubled inspections of containers at ports and airports by reducing $80,000 tax cuts for millionaires by just $5,000, each as Hillary advocated.

We cannot let the agenda for Hillary’s campaign for re-election be dominated by negative attacks from the Karl Rove playbook.

To make sure that doesn’t happen, we must have the resources to respond. That’s why we have set our most aggressive goal ever for this first quarter fundraising deadline.

We are close but need to raise $100,000 by March 31 to hit it.

With your help, we will have our strongest quarter ever and further Hillary’s fight for real change on the issues that matter to all of us.

Make a contribution and support Hillary’s fight for real change

You and I both know Hillary will fight for our values each and every day and make the right choices. She’ll fight for affordable health care. She’ll fight for a stronger and smarter national defense that cooperates with our allies. And she’ll fight for scientific-based policies on issues such as global warming and energy.

The Republican crowd has shown their hand - their strategy is to distract voters away from their record. We can’t allow them to succeed.

Help Hillary keep voters focused on the real issues of this campaign. By reaching her $100,000 goal, we will show the Republicans that this time around they will not be able to change the subject.

Make a contribution and support Hillary’s fight for real change

Take a stand with Hillary right now and show your determination to ensure that this campaign is about the issues that matter to all of us. In 2006, we can’t allow Republicans to stand in the way of the truth.

Make a contribution and support Hillary’s fight for real change

Thanks for all that you do.

Sincerely,

Patti Solis Doyle

P.S. Your contribution will not only help Hillary in her campaign, but also support her work on behalf of Democrats across the country. Thank you in advance for your support today!
